Class for a Cause - The Food Project
Saturday October 15th, 9am-1pmThis event will involve working with The Food Project at their farm in Lincoln. We will begin our morning as volunteers harvesting apples in their apple orchard, then we will have a wonderful yoga practice outdoors at their farm to work out any aches and pains and enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
The Food Project is a local Massachusetts charity that has built a national model of engaging young people in personal and social change through sustainable agriculture. They consider their hallmark to be their focus on identifying and transforming a new generation of leaders by placing teens in unusually responsible roles, with deeply meaningful work. Food from their farms is distributed through their Community Supported Agriculture programs, Farmers' Markets, and to hunger relief organizations. The Food Project is a founding sponsor of the Real Food Challenge, a campaign organizing students to increase the amount of real food at their schools.
A donation of $10 is suggested, 100% of which will be donated to The Food Project. For more information or to sign up, please contact Erica by calling 617.286.4492 or send a message.
Erica manages to create a class that works for all levels of yoga practitioners. She has a special capacity to describe and demonstrate that makes it easy to follow and learn. The classes never fail to be both relaxing and energizing.![]()
